Post event follow up video services are a powerful way to extend the value of any gathering. They include recap reels, highlight videos, sponsor thank you messages, and professional development content. These assets thank the right people, create ongoing marketing momentum, and ensure that the impact of your event reaches far beyond the day it took place.
A single event may last a day, but its value can extend for months with carefully crafted follow up content. These videos allow companies to thank sponsors, recognize vendors, and highlight attendee engagement. Recap reels and sizzle edits are designed to be shared naturally, encouraging attendees to relive and repost the experience. When added to a dedicated page, they provide a milestone record that strengthens promotion for the next event. Sharing clips by email or through newsletters ensures direct connection with the audience, building long term relationships and reinforcing the company’s brand story.
A recap video summarizes the event’s most important moments, from the opening to closing remarks. It captures the energy of the crowd, the detail of the venue, and the voice of key speakers. These assets become foundational marketing tools for internal and external audiences.
Personalized thank you videos build trust and make sponsors feel valued. By staging shots at booths, showing product demos, and capturing natural interactions, these cutdowns can be shared directly with sponsors. They strengthen business relationships and encourage future participation.
Spotlighting VIPs, sponsors, and featured speakers ensures their contributions are recognized. Filming their stage presence, remarks, and interactions creates content that doubles as both recognition and marketing, adding professional weight to the recap.
Follow up videos are also useful for training and learning. A recap can direct employees to gated content libraries or video on demand portals. This approach extends the life of the event into professional development, creating resources that support sales, marketing, and education for months afterward.
Effective post event video services start with planning. Production teams coordinate with marketing to develop a capture list of VIPs, sponsors, vendors, and key attendees. Camera operators focus on pickup shots, crowd reactions, and staged booth interactions using tools such as gimbals and slow motion recording. Highlighting title sponsors, vendor activities, and speaking moments ensures the finished content matches marketing intent and provides a wide variety of usable assets.

Hey guys, this is Jay over at Firebrand Media and today I'm talking about post event follow-up videos.
What are they? What can you expect out of them? And how can a production company and-or
videographer move through them with you? When you organize an event, you can expect that there
will be social reels, post event, a sizzle reel, maybe an event recap. But at the end of the day,
there are several tools that a marketing team can use within a company or a business
to retarget its marketing initiatives and say thank you to its sponsors, vendors, and event attendees.
With event recaps and social reels or let's say a scissor reel, generally the marketing intent
is to have those people who are at the event share them naturally and talk about what happened at it
or let's say like share and post it. Even the event highlight can live on page on the website
to serve as a milestone or goal for next year's event, showing people how that business or company
puts on an event, what's the value they can learn from it, and if they want to learn more about
resources of that event or let's say experts, they can defer to the business that hosted the event.
In some cases, sharing photos and videos via marketing by email is a great way to build
relationship with the event attendees. What do I mean? This past year, we've worked with a company
called Ocarina Global. They just celebrated their 15 year milestone and a great way that they've
leveraged post event videos is by having us create tailored video messages or thank you messages
to the event attendees. There were people from city council, upper leadership within city hall,
some of the sponsors were partners in the space or suppliers, and even the vendors simply said
there's nothing like opening up a tailored message or a tailored video that says thank you for
showing up and supporting. From the production company standpoint, it's important to talk and
work with marketing to find out the who's who or like a running sheet of people you want to be
aware of and you want to capture. Generally, a production company will have a person tasked on
pickup shots or b-roll and they'll have a gimbal maybe they're running a 4k 120 or slow motion
footage. They want to capture representatives of the title sponsor. A great way we can help a vendor
let's say tailor a newsletter or let's say a thank you message to go back to that vendor and
headquarters for them is by staging shots and what we do as a production company is we'll have
people come to the table and we'll take photos and videos of them interacting with guests and
picking up merch material or let's say exchanging contacts and giving high fives and handshakes.
Another way to make a compelling thank you message is by highlighting the sponsor activity or let's
say vendor activity or let's say VIPs at the event on stage. Maybe they have a spot or a speaking
moment and they want to address the crowd. It's important for the production company to remember
that this is going to be used as a post marketing asset. It's important for a production company to
remember that marketing has its intent so focusing on that VIP on stage or let's say the title sponsor
or let's say the vendor on stage announcing what new products and lineups that they carry is
going to be important in tailoring that thank you message. Post event follow videos are not just for
networking and or fun events but they can also be used in more professional development settings.
One of our clients flat iron puts on events where they have all employees come under one house for
a couple of days for professional development. A great way to have post event follow videos lined up
in that process is by again working with marketing and seeing where you can position those assets.
Post event follow videos are not only a great way to say thank you but they can also be a pathway
to more professional development being that one of our clients is in the multifamily development sector.
A great way that he uses post event follow videos is by using the event recap to point them to
landing pages which point down to more access or training material that they can view. These are
often behind paywalls and can be considered VOD or video on demand and serve as a core tool for
sales and marketing. If you have any questions about post event follow videos or want to learn how
a production company or videographer like us can help you move through them please give us a
call here at Firebrand Media we'd love to help.
